get_snr#

mufasa.signals.get_snr(cube, rms=None, **kwargs)[source]#

Calculate the peak signal-to-noise ratio of the cube.

Parameters:
  • cube (SpectralCube) – SpectralCube object.

  • rms (float or None, optional) – Root mean square of the map. If None, calculate using get_rms_robust().

  • **kwargs – Additional arguments for RMS calculation.

Returns:

Peak signal-to-noise ratio.

Return type:

Quantity
